Reading Response Prompts

Directions:  Choose a prompt.  On loose-leaf paper, write at least three paragraphs responding to one (1) prompt based on the book that you are reading.  Fill in the date next to the prompt when you complete it.  Each prompt should only be used one time.  Please don’t retell the story.  Use examples from the text to support your thinking.  Keep this in your reading folder.

15) Do you think the story could have really happened?  Why or why not?

16) What will happen to the characters after the story ends?

17) Describe an image the author created in your mind?

18) Write a different ending for the story.

19) What does the story mean to you?
